This gear is part of an Electric Skateboard build, the 3D concept files are on instructables: instructables.com/id/Electric-Skateboard-With-In-wheel-Motors/

The Scad file number 2 (skate_gear2.scad) has holes and it's pretty easy to configure, just download openscad, download the scad files from this project, open and tweak the skate_gear2 SCAD file with your configurations if needed, render, export STL and print!

A fill value of 60+% should do!

How I Designed This

Openscad, fork/remix of the awesome Parametric Pulley scad project, profile 14 (gt2 5mm), teeth 40, motor shaft 30 (even if it could be smaller)

the stl is for a GT2, to select HTD5 open skate_getar.scad (is one of the "Thing Files") and change from:

profile = 14;


profile = 10;

which is HTD5 - the most commonly used on esk8s

then export from OpenSCAD the STL file and you can print it, that way you can customize also the number of theeths

otherwise there is profile=9 is HTD3 which is less common but it's used as well

I think my gt2 belt has smaller teeth. How can i modify it for the belt? The belt is a gt2 size but the teeth are the size you would find on a 3d printer.
