Instructions for the upgrade kit.

  1. Print (1): Twist_Prop.stl

    Infill: 15%   

    Layer Height: .20

    Press on shaft. Match up the notch. Should be a good snug fit.  
  2. Print (1): CrankCaseBracketSet.stl

    Infill: 15%   

    Layer Height: .14

    Go to MakerBots Original Engine model and print (2) sets  
    of the:   CrankCasePins.stl  
    Mount the CrankCaseBrackets to the 4 open spaces between  

    cylinders. I super glued mine, so they stay..

  3. Print (1): ExhaustPipeMountsSet.stl
    Print (1): ExhaustPipesSet.stl
    Print (1): ExhaustPipeBracketSet

    Infill: 15%   

    Layer Height: .14

    Lightly sand these parts but leave them a little rough for more of a snug fit for positioning. Press the Exhaust Mounts on to the Curved end of the Exhaust Pipes.
    The Exhaust mounts also have pseudo mount holes that line up with the tiny mount holes in the CYLINDER HEAD. So you can use those as guidance postioning. You can also reference the attached pictures.

These parts are snug enough to just sit undisturbed on their own. However this model is a magnet of interest for anyone you'd like to talk to. I have 3 kids (boys..) Sooo... I suggest getting them positioned as you want them and then dropping some super glue to permanently set them. I also super glued the cylinders down too.. Made for a much more "play-with'able" model.

  1. Print (1): HandHolder.stl

    Infill: 15%   

    Layer Height: .18

    The HandHolder is intended to replace the BRACKET of the original model. Soo.. Remove BRACKET and install HandHolder. It will slide in between the original mount and the engine.  
  2. Play with it..

Are you able to move any of the parts or play around with it?

wow! you have done it! it is so so coool! i want to make one as well.
How did you print the cylinder head(in which position)? did you use any
support materials? It seems i will have trouble to print many parts
which needs support materials!? Please help:P

Am in the process of making. T'is unfortunate the 3d model was so course with the polygon cylindricals. The Cylinder heads and the cooling fins are giving me some troubles. Still the cylinders should had one exhaust pipe and one intake per head.

Great additions but there are too many exhaust pipes per cylinder.

Hoverhead is right, unless half of those are actually intake manifolds in exhaust pipe clothing.

Take a closer look.. Or make it! You'll find that we're actually short 2 of the cylinder pipes to accommodate the stand.
