This is a design I am working on. The only files available at this moment are the FreeCAD sources. This is a extruder for a E3DV6 1.75mm and a NEMA14 motor working with a GT2 belt and metalic (normal aluminum gears from CNC projects) using a typical M8 hobbed bolt to be installed on a I3 style printer. I am working on a bowden version and NEMA17/23 versions. Also an adapter for different type of hotends to make the thing modular is being developed.
this project was initially expected to be finished anytime between APR-MAY 2016, (but due to a tight schedule I have not enough time to finish it at that date. It will take some months till I can continue this project, but don't make mistake, it's not dead! Even a prototype is working at date! But still not ready for production). This will work specialy fine with flexible filaments 'cause it reduces to the minimum the distance between the hotend/hobbed bolt and the filament is entirely guided through a 4mm PTFE tube. It is small, light and simple. The NEMA14 motor can be moved up/down to accomodate the GT2 belts of your choice and uses typical bearings/screws/nuts we all have around. It is intended to be installed on any standard I3 carriage, but it is easy to change to your own 'cause you get the sources.
