I purchased some 36mm wide 86mm tall Gekkota tread tires mounted on some wheels with 12mm hexes. The size seems good for the Teton. I'm hoping to get a bit easier travel through the grass in my yard with a bit more ground clearance.
Sadly there was negative wheel offset on the buggy wheels I got meaning I would have to thin the chassis of my Teton to have steering. Instead I found a model on Thingiverse with a 12mm hex and modified it to accept these tires. The intent is to be able to bolt these directly onto a Latrax Teton with no need to cut the chassis. I suspect fender trimming on the body will still be required. (turns out I think it will run with no body modification either)
V9 has been updated with a slightly larger tire bead track and a 12.1mm hex for fitting a bit better on the hubs. The other models have now been updated as well.
I've added a few different cutout shapes on the same base wheel geometry. If you make these please add a photo to thingiverse so I can see what the other designs look like printed. I've only printed the v5 version. They work great on my Teton with the Gekkota tires and a 2S lipo battery. Quite the upgrade in speed.
I'm printing with 8% infill, .2mm layer size, 2 outlines, 3 top and bottom layers in ABS.
I've also tried 8% infill, .3mm layer size 3 outlines, 4 bottom and 3 top layers in ABS. With the V9 model this has yeilded a mostly solid set of spars.
