I found it very difficult to remove all the supports required for the (necessary) right-angle edges, thin slots, etc, and get a good fit.

So if reprinting I'd split this up a bit.

But good case :) thanks.

any chance you can drop the SolidWorks file in here my screen is just a bit too thick for the slide on piece otherwise great design

Doesn't fit. Waste of filament.

DOES NOT FIT RASPBERRY PI 2B OR 3B !!!

NE PAS TÉLÉCHARGER CE MODÈLE OU VOUS CASSEREZ VOTRE RASPBERRY ET/OU VOTRE ÉCRAN !

I've not printed this yet, but I'm not surprised if the opening for the LCD is tight. If you measure something, the outside dimension or for holes, the inside dimension will be about 1 nozzle diameter larger/smaller. This is because the center line of the thread is on the specified line and there is 1/5 of a nozzle diameter extra on each side, for a total of 1 nozzle dia. Since is it not usually possible to scale something by "add 0.4mm" you will have to calculate a factor. >1 makes things larger outside and cutouts larger too.

In your slicer program, load the STL, then scale it slightly. The scale factor will be

               1 + (Nozzle_dia / desired_dimension)

For a regular Pi, that is 0.4mm/56mm = ~ 0.045 where 56mm is the Y dim of the pi.
For Pi length: 0.4mm/86mm = .0046

It will take some fooling around to get what you want, but give it a try.

For anyone printing this, I suggest printing this with horizontal XY compensation -0.1 or -0.2 to get an easier fix. Otherwise prints nice.

Like others, I also cracked a screen trying to fit it in here.

Hi,
Is it possible to make this wonderful case also for Raspberry PI (the first one)

Thanks!

Can you upload the files also as STEP or IGES file?
I would like to add some holes for mounting onto a device.
Thanks a lot :)

Also have a 3.5" screen from Kuman and the ptftcase2 file is 0.25mm too small (height in that top channel). Would you be able to make it bigger?

I will design a new case.

I found this one a bit tight for the Adafruit 3.5 display

HI!

awesome design and perfect fitting.

I have a problem sliding the screen (3,5inch TFT from DX.com)..it enters too tight and can breake the case if pushed in.

I have posted the photos in MADE section.

Cheers

Max

cool but please give more detail on the screen because we got the wrong screen and shatter the screen so please more detail

I like this Pretty slick
