Printed in icicle blue PLA, this plate of crystalline randomness bears a passing resemblance to the iconic prop crystals used on that popular beardy meth guy show the kids these days seem to like.
This is intended as a toy for fans of a fictional TV show. Due to my strong personal convictions, I wish to stress that this published thing in no way endorses actual drug use or drug culture.
Try a few different slicing methods, and find what gives you the best results with your printer and filament:
- 3 shells and 0% infill for pale, light, quick-printing hollow crystals
- 1 shell and 100% infill for solid, more deeply hued crystals
- 30 shells and 0% infill for solid crystals with a more interesting crystalline grain inside (I like this method, and used it for the prints shown above)
If you use MakerWare, the .thing file posted here will allow you to add, subtract, scale, and rearrange individual crystals on the build plate.
Rescale the model randomly and reprint to add some more variety.
Do not smoke.
