Awesome job Rod, thanks! Not only does it look good, but it completely cured my issue of filament twisting off the hobbed bolt - I'm getting some lovely prints now thanks to this upgrade! I haven't tried the marker idea yet, but will do soon!

Thanks again!

This looks great, I have a RepRapPro Huxley and am moving to the Emaker extruder and idler because the RepRapPro bowden tube and two brass connectors are terrible (keeps popping off). Can you tell me where I can order a new PTFA bowden tube and the fittings for both ends? JMs fittings or McMaster fittings. Thanks very much!

What hardware parts (bowden fitting) would you use with this welding rod? How does this compare to the extruder drive parts that come with the RepRap Hexley pro?

All the stock Emaker Huxley parts should fit this extruder. I'm using the air fitting bowden tube connection. This one is designed to fit either the one JM found, or one from McMaster (that takes a little bit bigger tube and has a larger OD).

Will this new bearing clamp prevent the bearing from twisting out of alignment?

I'm not sure what you mean; this will certainly make the bearing work better (by allowing it to turn). The side to side tilt may still happen if the springs are set differently. I haven't gotten to run this on an extruder yet; I bought the wrong stepper motor...
