Really clever! (And awesome writeup!)

You deserve tips just for having the guts to take pictures of a banana in a sun lounger at the beach. People must have thought you were nuts!! :-P
....Awesome design, going to print loads of these haha

Thanks for your comment... you have to have fun in life!

I have six of those banana hangers my kids made in shop class scattered around my kitchen. Time for Dad to give back. Guess what they are all getting for Christmas? Thanks Muzz64.

Yet another awesome creation. If only I had half the design imagination that you have.
In the sixth picture, it does look like the tongue that the banana sits on might be a little too short and cause bruising at the end.
Have you seen this happen?

Thanks for the comment. On early versions that worked a different way the bananas were prone to some bruising which is why I increased the cradle to the size and shape it now is. In the published version l haven't noticed any bruising issues but it is possible if it was a really big / long / heavy banana

Thanks for replying Murray, My question was based purely on my theory after looking at the pictures ... which turned out to be wrong.
I have now printed one of these and the cradle is longer and more supportive than I first thought.
I should have known better than to question your designs, fantastic as always mate.
Will post a make in a moment of course.

...having said that I got home tonight after a couple of days away and one very long banana I had sitting in a lounger (now over-ripe) does have some marking on the underside so it may be slightly bruised... however to get to this the skin needs to start deteriorating (losing its protective layering). This issue made me redesign it a number of times to get what should be a great / fun / result while minimising print time and filament use.... but with really big bananas if you leave then too long you may get a little bit of bruising... but at least they'll still look cool!

If you leave them too long they will over-ripen, whatever you put them in. The magnificent Banana Lounger does not make them any more susceptible to bruising.
And, they are so cool!
