Summary

This brooch is based on the 11th century Ringerike Disk, from Gotland, Sweden. Any Thule would print two if they were still around today.

Available is a version that has a base and prints without supports. Parasolids included for download. Enjoy :)

Google "Ringerike disk", 11th century Gotland artifact.

Can't believe this isn't a 3d scan. Must have taken a looong time to build!

What did you use to model this? Please don't say Blender, I'm struggling with Blender.

Solidworks. I really need to learn Mudbox or Zbrush, probably could have done it in a fraction of the time in either. Very asymmetrical, though not readily apparent.
