Very good 3D foldable printer...

Hi! I'm currently building one of these from the more updated files on GitHub. Is there anything in the design preventing the use of NEMA 17's as the Z-Motor steppers rather than NEMA-14's? (It's just what I happen to have around...)

Thanks for the awesome design!

Hi, in fact the design of the pieces has been made for NEMA14 motor. Also, as NEMA14 are smaller, you maximise the printing area on X axis, regarding the size of the case.

I recently finished my Tobeca, and it's up and running. I'll try to get some pictures / video of it printing this evening.

Great !! Can't wait to see it in action. To my knowledge, you've been built the first Tobeca which doesn't come from my factory. :-)

I've started putting together a build log with pictures if you're curious. I'll add a few more pictures this week. Thanks again!

Hi !

Great building you've done with some mods. Are the prints good ?

Hey, can you guys provide a source for where you got the timing belts from?

Oh you can buy any time of timing belts if you want. From which country are you ?

I'm in the USA.

You can maybe find GT2 belts and pulleys instead in USA. It will be also better I guess. You will just need to change the firmware for the step by mm.

Congrats guys!! I love the design, do you have movie shot of the printer running?

Hi, there are vids here : http://www.youtube.com/user/RepRapDiffusionhttp://www.youtube.com/user/Re...

But it is early videos, the product is not really the same. I'll make a new commercial purpose video in some weeks.

Thank you, and what thickness did you guys go with for the plywood?

I use 9mm thick plywood sheets for the case.

Nice concept, like to make the extruder, but 2nd part is missing in download...any chance to get it?

Hello, you have to go the the github repository to download the all files. The link is in the description of the project. It's just a simpler way to get you up to date with the fles :-)

Hey, I was wondering if you guys had a site or a file that had all of the plywood dimensions with screw and bolt holes as well.

Yo, French dudes.. Awesome 3D printers.. I went ahead and ordered one. I think I ordered one?. Your main site translates to eng, However when I proceeded to order the checkout shopping cart defaulted to french.. Soo.. I think I ordered the right item?
I think I ordered the Built and Calibrated unit.

Anyway, looking forward to it..

Hello badBrick. Thank you very much for your order.
The order is OK even you saw it in french, I've well received your payment and I'll start the assembly of your Tobeca next week.

Have a great day,

Cool. Thanks guys. Looking forward to it.
