you have just answered my prayers. ive been looking for a way to get more speed out of my trolling motor for a long time. check out my youtube channel please. i have a whole set of videos on my motorized kayak. feel free to email me if you are interested in selling me a prototype version. im looking for speed. i could care less about thrust. the motor is a one horse 50 lb thrust digitally maximized minn kota. 1250 rpm. current prop pitch #4. im looking for a #6 with more surface area. i already have a hub designed on 123d that i reverse engineered from a kipawa high performance minn kota prop that i have. if you could put the blades on it i would be eternally grateful.

I am happy to help. not sure if you have seen the other prop variations I have uploaded. Those have more blade and pitch combinations.

Not sure what you meant on putting the blades on another prop.

Minn Kota Endura prop variations

Yes I've seen your variations and I like the way you design them. I own a kipawa prop that has a tapered hub and is more efficient than the minn kota wedge. I reverse engineered the hub on 123d design. So now I'm struggling with the blades. I can't find a way to twist them on 123d design. I was hoping I could send you the hub file and have you put the blades on for me. Then print a prototype in abs or nylon so I can try it out. Feel free to email me directly at adamhjames83@gmail.com

I love your prop designs and printed this one for my older Minn Kota trolling motor. unfortunatelly this does not fit my motor.

The shaft just comes to the top of the recess. also, the recess opening is not wide enough to fit the motor shaft nut even if the shaft extended far enough.

Is there anyway you could post a modifed version with 38mm (1.5") diameter recess and make the recess 10mm (.395") deeper so I can put the nut on the shaft?

Or would you post the source CAD file or SCAD file you used to make the prop?

Hi Magman,

I uploaded an updated STL file V5 as you requested. I hope I understood it right. I also made the nut hole a bit bigger.

I will start the print tonight and will see how it fits tomorrow. It looks like it will fit so I will keep my fingers crossed.

I have only a 125x120x125 print volume so I will try printing the hub and blades separately. Perhaps use a dovetail joint to hold them in. This would also let me try different blade shapes.

I patched up my printer and finally i was able to print this thing in one piece. Quite nice added the picture to the thing. Will also give an acetone rub to polish up...
