Can I suggest filling the tubes with wood dowels and pouring fiberglass resin to keep the pipes strait and true over time. PVC type tube till soften slightly with normal heat changes and will want to sloop for one side to an other. I have seen this kind of printer before, in fact there is a group of people in a maker space in Montréal that have made many of these.

This looks very promising.
I am really curious to know how its gonna perform.
