How do you replace a 1970s Style sliding door handle that broke at 2pm today!
Aha make use of SNIJLAB's bendy Plywood I used 6mm Plywood for this the drawing and making was done just within two hours.
As the lock mechanis is a little more complex to draw I opted to blank the lock bar off and use this an outside door handle swaping it for one of the other plastic handles on the opposing door (opens the other way so its out side part is the same as the inside one that broke.
Laser cut then paint in PVA glue before assembly will help to waterproof the laser plywood stick the bits together screw the four screws to hold it together and clamp the top and bottom on. wait for PVA to dry.. then paint with exterior paint.. I'm waiting for the PVA to dry now.
It was fitted and working by the end of the day.. As my partner needed to work in the conservatory that night.
