Hey, is it important if I use PLA or ABS?
The most important is that I use transparent filmament?

Thanks from Germany
(you are talking to a guy who has his ultimaker since one week) : )

Printed out one of these in nylon today, have a little video of it here.

This is a great design and I made mine out of translucent PLA from Faberdashery.
I've tried this print several times, this is the most successful - the first few layers are always problematic, so I added a small cube next to it to print at the same time. This gave the lower layers more time to cool. The final result is really smooth and looks amazing - printed really slowly at 0.2mm layer height. I'm planning to put an LED or two in it with a solar charged battery. Thanks for the design, Andy.

This cup is way way more complex than it looks. Great job. I have no idea how you designed this.

Sorry to be the nag but NEVER have flame near ABS or PLA. Both will burn down your house, and even if they didn't, nasty burning plastic is not the way to enjoy the holiday.

Please use this with LED candles only.

totally agree.... led candles are best, think I'll post a simple design for a digital candle next few days as well, fun to make during the holidays...
