Lego Technic compatible parts

Since I did not have a specific use for any of the pieces, I was more interested in how well our 3D printer would print out the pieces. What material do you recommend for printing? What program do you use to create or convert the files? If it is not too much trouble can you convert all the samples for me?

These Lego Technic pieces look very interesting. Is it possible to have them converted to STL or OBJ format?

Should be easy to convert any specific example, but the reason this was done in OpenSCAD is that it can design pretty much any part you want.

Say you want a beam 12 holes long with a square cross second hole in from either end, and the rest round holes - just call
legoTechnicBeam(12, [1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1] );

Then File | Export | STL to get your actual printable part file.

Once you convert any given example to STL (or OBJ, etc) then you lose this ability to easily define the shape
