This is an experimental prototype enclosure for a miniature DC motor. It is designed to be used in harsh environments, however, due to no air circulation, the motor may get hot. I havent tested it for extended use or use in harsh environments yet.
The hole for the motor shaft will need to be drilled out to fit the shaft.
The cap was not designed to be removed once installed. Removing the cap may damage the case.
Mounting holes for two different mounting options are built in. A hole for the wires is also built in.
I hope someone finds it useful.
1) Print the case and drill out the motor shaft hole just enough to allow the motor to turn freely.
2) Install your motor into the case and solder the wires so that they route inward.
3) Print the cap and route the wires through the hole in the end cap and snap the cap on. Note : To make the enclosure more water resistant, apply some silicon into the groove on the case before snapping the cap on. Apply silicon to the hole where the wires exit the cap. To further protect the motor from water, apply some petroleum jelly to the shaft/hole.
4) Mount it onto your project and enjoy!
