Summary

My design goals for this stand were something that could easily be carried very flat in a small pocket or on a keyring, with enough stability to be usable for gentle swiping, and small/fast enough to print out a zillion copies and stick them in every desk drawer and backpack compartment.

The stand "clip" section uses slight friction to provide stability and stay on the phone when picked up, but friction is not strictly required (unless in the secondary more upright angled mode pictured) - the weight of the phone pushes both down on the top of the triangle, and up on the top hat of the clip, and is thus self-supporting. The stand is angled back behind the phone slightly for balance.

Physics dictates that solid touch presses can only be achieved in the diagonally lower right half of the screen, which is perfect for "alt-tabbing" on Ubuntu touch. The stand is also balanced such that soft/gentle touches and swipes on the top left diagonal half will not tip the phone over. If you however want solid presses on the left top diagonal half, mirror image this design and print a stand for the left side as well.

Another tip for tables and slippery surfaces: store some blue-tack in the triangular section of the stand. Use it to anchor the bottom edge of the phone to the table so it doesn't slide when you swipe.

I assume this should also work fine for the Android version of the E5HD :)

Notes:

You may need to slightly adjust the clip distance by +/- 0.1mm depending on your printer, to get a snug fit. The clip should not fall off, but not be so tight as to cause marks on the phone.
