This additional part really makes that fan duct work! On the Ultimaker I was upgrading, the fan duct was a touch too close to the heat block to start with. This part made everything fit perfectly.

Works great, haven't had the duct actually warp into the spacer yet. Secured with a piece of double sided tape on the groove as it shook loose after a while.

If necessary, I can make one for you with a slightly more narrow groove..

No worries, actually getting an E3D hot end pretty soon. Thanks for the offer though!

What is the fuzz about these E3D hot ends?
Is it the thing that its all metal or?

That is a big one, so you can get high temp without worying about the PEEK/PTFE in the Ulti hot end. Also, it is actively cooled and keeps the filament very straight until right before it is extruded. Seems like a very nice hot end to try out!

Have you tested out the E3D hot end?
And how did you manage to mount it onto the printer?
