they are both corrupt actually

yeah the stl file is very corrupt. it only has 84 bits where the obj has 618000 bits
and bits are binary digits

how about you make this a customizer so that you can use ANY straw!

I did exactly this for my daughter for a school project last year and just thought I should post it here. ( but thought Id have a look at what others have posted)
She used it to build a model home using straws as a frame.
She was the only kid in her class to get graded 100% for her project.

Hi, this looks fun. Unfortunately it looks like the .stl is corrupt. None of my programs (Cura, Meshmixer, Meshlab) will open it and throw an error message.

Hi,
sorry about that I've been meaning to upload an obj. file as well.

The obj file worked, thanks.

100% kudos for this! Great idea. 45 degree connectors would be a nice addition.

There you go I added the 45 degree connectors as well as some 60 degree connectors for triangles and pyramids.

Thanks man I'll get working on that as soon as possible

Also, I have found that there are at least 2 sizes of drinking straws probably more. There is a smaller, thinner one like you get from somewhere like Arby's (no offense to them I like Arby's but their straws stink) and then the bigger ones from McDonalds. Just something to keep in mind.

thanks for the feedback I'll get working on that as soon as possible the only thing is that when i looked for measurements i couldnt find anything if you have the diameter could you tell me?
