This are winglets for the famous Radjet 800 from Hobbyking.
The tiptanks are normaly breaking away after a few flights, so this winglets are perfect to improve the look and flyability of your Radjet.
The straight flying is improved and also the stall speed, so with the winglets you can fly slower and with a higher alpha. Also they minimize the ground effect so that the landings also get easier.
I've tested very long to print them good. You should use ABS to not get any heat problems under the sun on the flying field.
Print them with a skirt of 10 lines, starting with a layer height of 0,2mm. Then print with 0,1mm layer height, 10% rectangular infill and 3 outlines.
As printspeed I would recommend 65mm/s until the logo begins, reduce it for that to ~25mm/s (otherwise you will get ringing) and then put it back to 65mm/s.
Set the cooling to slow down under 20 sec. to min. 10mm/s and activate the fan under 10 seconds.
Then they should be printed fine.
If you like, you can try to print them one by one, but i got worse results because of overheating so I'm printing them both together with the downside facing to each other.
If they are made of ABS you can get a real nice glossy finish by using acetone, but however, 0,1mm is already quite fine and you maybe only need some sand paper.
To attach them to the wing:
You need to cut the wing according the meassurements of the pictures, they should be self describing.
I've added to holes per winglet to put a toothpick in it for better stabilisation. Check the attached drawing for the meassurement to find out where to put the toothpicks in the wing. Just glue then the winglets, the wing and the toothpicks with CA glue together.
I've tested them up to 250km/h :)
Info: The logo on them is pAirformance, this is the label under which I'm producing parts and modells for r/c models or also complete r/c models. Check out www.pAirformance.at.vu soon for more information.
