This is a Butterfly puzzle. It was originally designed for a laser cutter. I extruded it in Openscad. I did not design this scorpion just made it 3D printable. This puzzle and many others can be found at blechwelt.com/teil_des_monats/archiv.htm

There are two sizes available V1 and V2sm. V2sm is my preferred size to print.

why not put the instructions in here... I noticed after I printed it...and the site is in german or something like that..

If you ever revisit this, consider offering one .stl per part. In my case, I had to split it up (I used meshlab) into 3 separate prints to fit on my machine's small 120x120mm table; it would also be convenient in case a single piece is lost or broken.

Hilarious- the design you took this from was by someone who breeched copyright taking it from MakeCNC. The funny part is they mounted the wings on backwards, and you have duplicated that error.

Cool - mine turned out great!!

Nice work, and an easy, quick print. I'm going to make a half dozen in different colors.

But I think you've all got the front part of the wings on backwards. -smile- Google pictures of real butterflies. The longest part of the top wing is near their head, not their middle. Flip that top wing section 180 deg and it looks much more realistic. At least, mine does, if you discount the bright orange filament I used. I'll try to post a picture, soon. Cheers!

Nice! i printed it about half the size just to see how delicate i could make it
