How I designed this:
I designed this mechanism using Autodesk Inventor. The initial version was designed all in an inventor part file using the different solids to make the separate parts, then moving forward to some revisions to the mechanism I converted the solids to parts by moving them into an assembly file.
Why I designed this:
I originally designed this for my senior engineering project. A class set was built and given to my school's physics teachers
Infill percentage dependent upon part. Lower infill for moving parts to reduce vibration.
-Base = 10%
-Shaft Block = 10-20%
-Crank Wheel = 10%
-Crank Arm = 10%
-Oscillating Arm = 70-100% (want it to be solid and strong)
-Speed Controller Cover = 10-20% (infill percentage doesn't really matter for this part)
Support Material Required For:
-Shaft Block: under the overhang with the two rectangular holes.
-Base: Only really necessary for the overhang at the very top of the part

-3/8” x #8 Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws
-#10 Flat Washers
