Summary

Equally suitable for hanging out in the lounge, or commanding the next mission, these chairs look great in any part of your rocket ship. 1:18 scale. The seat backs are extra low to accommodate jet packs.

Instructions

Choose a base: short to make a chair, or tall to make a stool. Print a seat. Wait for plastic to cool before snapping together - push hard. Add some paint pen detailing for extra decoration.

No special settings necessary. I printed zero extra shells with 20% infill.

do you find pen paint sticks the best medium for colouring your things' or do you recommend any other types of paint?

I'm printing in a few different colors, and using the paint pens to pick out small details - rivets, rings, etc. Its fast and easy and there are no brushes to clean up. ABS takes all sort of paint well - I've also used a variety of art acrylics and spray paints with good results.

Painting tends to enhance layer ridges - so if you're going to paint all over consider an acetone bath first.
