The simple construction of a teaching clock relies entirely on press-fitting – no glue needed. The clock hand, with washers in between, is fixed with a self-locking nut.
My build was done on a desktop cnc-machine by Stepcraft from 6 mm birch plywood using a spiral-toothed 1.2 mm flute.

The construction itself was done in Solid Edge. For the design of the clock face I resorted to Illustrator using a cool trick:
I inserted the numbers "2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 1" with *Type on Path-Tool on a circle and the justification.
Then set the effect to 'Stair Step' and align to middle.
After converting text to path I ungrouped and added the missing 'ones'.
