Summary

LONG print - almost 7 hours at 8% infill. Maze needs some minor cleanup after printing - light stringing occurs on the inside. Might be better (and faster!) printed a bit smaller - maybe 80%? Stringing on 2nd print was more difficult to remove than 1st. (Dental picks helped greatly)

To use in a breakout, students insert disc into hole labeled "in". Tilt ESEN and disc pops out of "out" hole on the back. ESEN opens directional lock.

2nd maze produces WNWS clue.

Disc prints in about 12 minutes at 100% infill. (for extra weight)

Decided against using marble with the maze. I think the disc allows more control while deducing clue but I included the marble .STL in case someone had a use for it.

Thanks for the information! I printed it at 75% and it works fine! One problem I've noticed is the decoration on the top doesn't print. Any ideas?

Oh wow! I wonder if I accidentally uploaded the wrong version! Did the compass rose show up in your slicing software? Which one did you attempt? ESEN or WNWS? Don't have access to the files at the moment - will doublecheck tonight.

I tried the ESEN version and yes it appears in my slicing software, but doesn't print. I'll try the other file and see what happens.

What do you use for slicing? I used CURA and printed on a Printrbot. Also have a Flashforge - can try ReplicatorG and print on that.
Good to know that 75% prints well as far as stringing goes. The WNWS file was really annoying to clean up.

I used CURA and printed it on my New Matter MOD-t. Clean up was easy enough.

I just ran the model through the "Makeprintable" repair app. While it initially stated there were no issues, it continued to report 3 boundary issues. Not sure if there are any differences or not, but I've not uploaded the repaired .OBJ file. Will try to print a scaled model soon. If you try again, please let me know how it goes. I'm a bit baffled. Appreciate your feedback!

Printed the WNWS model today and it turned out fine with the top detail being visible.

Glad to hear this! Still wish I knew what the problem was with ESEN!

What are the dimensions?

Oh good question! The maze is 104mm x 116mm x 19mm. I've added an additional photo with a tape measure for reference.
