Holder for a SMA or RP-SMA pigtail cable in place of the original antenna. Apart from popping the original antenna out, no other modifications to the shell are needed (so no dremel). Connector is firmly held in place, and prevented from rotating (so easy to screw on or off antenna). Furthermore this should print OK on almost all printers without need for support material.
OpenSCAD source files included. Printed on my printer things fit rather snug, but this might differ on other printers. In that case, feel free to change some measurements in the source files.
Print Holder.stl once normal, once mirrored. Print Clip.stl once, and optionally print Cap.stl.
Put the two holders over the plug, put in the antenna hole, and put on the clip on the inside. If needed (and the connector is long enough), put the cap over it, and screw on the nut belonging to the connector. (Step-by-step included as pictures)
Alternatives, no shell modification:
Alternatives, dremel or cutting required:
Update the Holder.stl and Holder.scad, the hex nut inlay rotation is now fixed, and the geometry is slightly changed for a much better fit.
