If you have the intake hole of the piston on top and the exhaust hole on the side of the cylinder, you could make this work. Just have the exhaust vent towards the bottom of the cylinder so that it is covered by the piston until the piston is at or near it's lowest point to release the pressure to the exhaust. The holes are small because they are smaller than each cylinder but you could use fluid dynamics to optimize the flow rates and pressures in each piston over a range of RPM's compared to the intake and exhaust pipes... or you just make sure your main intake is large enough to supply all 8 cylinders and then the exhaust is ideally larger than the intake. As the cross-sectional area of a pipe/cylinder increases, pressure increases while velocity decreases.

I would try to model this myself but I'm currently in high school and don't have time... I use Autodesk Inventor but I can try to import the STEP file when I have time

I have a idea for your valve problem and I would like to test it.
Is it possible to get a STEP file from each part to test my idea??
It's very hard to process .stl files or convert it into a changeable solid model.
