Have you had any trouble with the hinges breaking? They broke right off on me when trying to insert a hinge pin.

Hehe, the owls are not what they seem ;-)

I found that printing the "outers" open side up uses less support material

solid feedback and I am going to have to try this, I was worried about the bleed factor at faster speeds causing issues but I am going to have to try this. I also am almost ready with my button mods as well as a printable spring.

I guess it depends on the angle your printer needs support, I find that some circular objects people say they didn't need support, but I get better quality with supports on.

This is true, I have been on a kind of mission to see what the limits of what I can print without supports to save on time and material and it feels like a constant game of getting the right bed layer down and heat and speed tweaking.

Hello and thanks for the appreciation about my build :-)
I like the light inside. Good work !

Thank you and I want to say it again your build was excellent and deserves major respect! I only made small changes because it wanted to make it faster to build I was also considering changing the button to allow it to be two piece to allow for a translucent material to be printed for the center of the button.

But again thanks for making the original!
