This little tiny vessel took me into past.
Good job.

Thanks for this really cool model. As a kid i sailed the journey many a time with Thor and his crew as i read the book.

I have his book, really cool! Your replica of his craft is very awesome!

Wow, if ever there was a model that needed to be printed in Balsa-fil, this is it. I loved the book growing up and eventually tracked down the film they made while on the voyage. There was a dramatized movie made a few years back that is pretty good too. Helped spur my love of Polynesia. Visiting the Cook Islands again this January. They still go voyaging between islands thousands of miles apart on split hull vessels are not that dissimilar in many basic respects to the Kon-Tiki. I really yearn to go to Norway some day to see the Kon Tiki museum.

Definitely going to have to print out a few copies of this and give it to some of my younger relatives along with a copy of the book and films.

I read the book till it fell apart, but i have never come across the films. Are they available on the internet and could you possibly help me with a link there please.
This is such a nice piece to see, as i enjoyed the book immensely. Another book you may enjoy is The Ra Expeditions, also by Thor Heyerdal.

Thank you))) I'm glad that you liked the Kon-Tiki, and hope that your young family members will be happy to present.
