Further Update: I have included here the latest version of this fan shroud by Jinx. It includes adjustable height for the print fan sides. One version has holes to mount a DC42 IR sensor.
UPDATE: Things move fast; Jinx of the Reprap community has remixed this version already and has improved the fixing with a bolt rather than cable tie, and has made the hot end fan mounting face flush with the part cooling fan bases for easier printing. Please use his version instead. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1693413
This is a super compact remix of the fan holder by saldot. I wanted a dual part fan with hot end cooler shroud to fit an e3d v6 but which would fit almost under my Kossel effector. The original for my setup is too wide and cuts into my print volume, as the fans hit the belts if I need to move nearer the edge of the bed.
This version is as small as I thought I could go and still get the geometry to work.
Use a cable tie on the hot end cooler on the opposite side to the fans to retain the shroud in place, it might be tight enough without but mine creaked a bit when being stretched over the heatsink so I used one for added safety.
The screw holes for the fans came out slightly tight alignment-wise when I printed it but a little persuasion and they went in fine.
Getting the orientation of the heater block relative to the shroud is a little tricky but there are angles that work.
I printed it orientated as it is presented here with plenty of support. I might see if I can do a version which has a flatter side so less support is needed,
