This is just for wire-guides right? For a second I thought you had a no-glue assembly method which would have been cleverness.
Still very impressive work on this project. How many complete sets of parts have you gone through to get this far?

This is just for wire guides, which itself is a nasty problem once you start putting "stuff" in there!

As much as I have contemplated self latching, I presently believe that this would cause more problems on clean faces than it is worth. Although it could be done with expanding pegs, so maybe in the future.

I also looked at the magnets for every joint, but they are not cheap!

Using fusion 360 to work the parts, netfabb to clean them, and http://gcode.ws/http://gcode.ws/ to check support implications, I am now rarely wasting a print, grind the design in virtual space, get it to the practical point and then print, so the complete sets are what you are seeing on thingiverse.

The original "thick" child sized, the oversized green, the size A "light red" and now I am printing orange.

There is always one more mod around the corner, so it can cause paralysis on "do I print now", but I would recommend, just commit, get on with it, and once you have a full set of pieces and before you glue, are there parts you want to respin.

Only major part I have on the radar right now is to put 9V battery mounts in the peak, as there is plenty of space, and that is where I am heading with the wire guides.

I also might do another 5 or 10% reduction or my kids will never forgive me.
