A portable chess set for the laser-cutter.
No glue or anything else needed (well.. maybe you can use some paint to differentiate the teams... or cut another kind of material).
Designed for 3mm MDF.
Update (Ago 2019)
- new instructions;
- all laser-cut files are now in dxf R12 ASCII format:
- you have 3 files, they only differ in their kerf* compensation:
- 0 : no kerf compensation;
- 015: all notches are compensated 0,15mm;
- 020: same thing, 0,20mm.
.* kerf is the amount of material that disappears by the cutting process. To avoid the use of glue and make a correct assembly, this kerf is compensated in the vector file itself.
To cut and assemble the model, use the 015kerf file, or the 020kerf if your laser has a wider cut. If you want to make significant modifications to the file, maybe it's advisable to use the 0kerf file.
