This is a VR rifle designed to be used with the HTC Vive. This was based off an image posted on reddit hyping a commecial version being developed by u/Hooves_mcg. THIS IS A NON-COMMERCIAL PROJECT. It is intended to be open-source and community improved. THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS, and may not work as expected with individual setups.
This includes my ver. 1 printable stock (failed due to collision with Vive headset when using in-game scope) and my untested ver. 2 printable stock
Yeah, I just kind of threw it up there and my naming conventions can be confusing. OK, there are 4 main pieces to the body - they have the lower case letters (a,b,c,d) you will need 3x of the 'a' pieces (the rails) and 2x of each of the 'b','c', and 'd' pieces (which are the controller mounts). The 'b' piece has two variations - VVRb3 is the one i've been using the VVRb4 is an untested variation that I hope to try soon. SO, those get you the main body...
The stock: the 'e' piece is for adding your own aftermarket stock, but it also goes with the 'sA and sB' pieces for my first stock. The sA3, sB3, and sC3 are my untested stock to compensate for the headset when using the scope and don't require the 'e' piece to connect to the body.
Hope this helps.
In addition to the printed pieces the following will also be needed:
(8) 2.5# pull .3" x .11" (8mm x 3mm) cylindrical magnets http://www.homedepot.com/p/MASTER-MAGNETICS-0-3-in-x-0-11-in-Neodymium-Rare-Earth-Magnet-Discs-10-per-Pack-07045HD/202526363
(8) 1.25" #8-32 round head machine screws with #8-32 matching nuts.
super glue for the stock pieces and magnets.
