.UPDATE 12/28/16 : I have designed the battery accessory case that had been asked for, and it can be found here:
I hope you all like it!
This phone has been out for a couple months now, I kept looking to see if anyone had posted a phone case for the new super slim Moto z. This is NOT a case for the moto Z force. cause lets be honest, with the moto mod Incipio battery attachment, who needs the extra battery built in?
Any way, I took the liberty of posting the first case for this phone, and to be honest, it fits works and feels really good. Although you MUST print one or both parts of this case in NinjaFlex, otherwise it will not work. Also see scaling instructions below.
Please show me your prints and post a 'Make', I really want to see other people using my designs. Thanks!!
ATTENTION: Both of these parts must be scaled up slightly in the x and y direction in order for the case to fit. The narrower Dimension between the x and y should be set to 82.6mm wide. Which should equate to about 1% scaling up, where as keep the z at its origional height.
if you print the front of the case (screen side) in harder plastic, do not glue this case together. if you are printing the front or both in ninjaflex the case will work if you want to glue the front to the back. I used a high strength epoxy.
Try and print the trapezoidal locking tabs as cool and slow as possible to reduce overhand warp age.
Front piece: print the top in all borders (no infill) i use 7 borders, makes the case look nice. print sloooww for ninjaflex.
Back piece: I use 5 boarders so that it doesn't have to infill between the ribs.
