I can't promise it will roll back time, but I hope you have a fun time making your own Time Turner like Hermione has.
Here is a video of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAkuxfjQ7pg

All my prints have been on Replicator2. Your mileage may vary.

I printed the glass vertically using zero infill and one shell. and It looked transparent like a real hourglass.

The disk is designed to snap into the inner ring. I would print it separately from the glass and then cut a small slit at the top to allow me to insert the glass and then insert the glass and disk together into the rings.

The rings could be printed all at once, but I required two small helper disks (.2mm high) under the knobs on each side.

I was also able to print the glass and disk together vertically, but it was not easy.

The "gold" one in the pictures was spray painted.

The chain was added separately.

Hey, I'm new in this whole "business" so excuse my silly question: How do you print the rings? if you print them all at once, they aren't mobile anymore, are they?
Btw, really beautiful work :)

3-D printers can create "bridges" and "spaces" for moving parts. Depending on the resolution and quality of the printer, the rings should be able to be printed in one piece, removed from the base and then gently "freed" from each other.

Thank you so much! :D

Prints out nicely, but the glass had to be split in the middle, rotated by 90° X, and glued back together (was impossible to print, even with support on due to small adhesion area of the balls.

Thank you for the thing file with the support disks! This printed beautifully! I am excited to apply some spray paint to it and attach a chain. Wonderful!

great design, my daughter likes it a lot.

how do you get past the certificate of trust because I can't past it anyway through it?

I'm not away of any certificate requirements.
Can you download any things?

Instructions were great. File works very nicely, thanks. I added a few pointers on my make. I think it would work slightly better if the rings were split into one file with the two outer rings and one with the inner ring, just in case one ring doesn't work, as was the case with me. Takes an hour to reprint.

Grrr. I've been trying to print this with silver ABS for my wife's birthday but my printer is not cooperating. Might need to keep trying and push it back to an Xmas present. :)
