I made these and found that they do not close very well or grip tightly. They have trouble gripping even with the lightest bit of pressure. A bag of chips can apply enough counter-pressure to cause them to pop off. Otherwise, they look great and printed without issue. Any ideas of what I can change to make them actually strong enough to use for basic applications?

What material did you print with? I could thicken up the spring to work better with more flexible materials.

Thanks for the quick reply :) I used PLA I believe 25% infill .2 resolution.

I'm gonna try with 100% infill. Should make it much more rigid.

The new version is pretty rigid. I used the quick print setting so I'm not sure what the infill is but it looked about 60% to me. It has a strong enough grip to hang clothes and towels. The spring however was completely filled in which is what matters for rigidity so 100% should be just as rigid if not more.

Ok, I designed this with ABS in mind. I don't own a printer so I haven't had a chance to test it. Could you try ABS? I'll thicken up the spring next time I'm on my computer.

Sure thing. I'll provide an update once I have. Should be able to within the next day or so.
