Now The LED connected to "Bar" is lighting up after the TOM boots

anyone have a clue as to what this might mean?

must have soldered something up wrong, I got a PCB and it works fine - oh well

thanks

Built one, but its not working, lights are on, no text displayed.

check the path from the interface board through the ribbon cable to the LCD, they buzz out correctly

anyone have any idea as to why I'm not getting anything on the display?

tried pressing the reset button - no change.

i can plug the TOM into the USB and the PC will see it, but nothing on the LC
D but blocks on row 1 and 3

You need to load firmware that knows how to control the LCD. Make sure the LCD contrast pin is at around 1v. If it is at 5v you will not see anything,

I have the Jetty fiemware installed, I set thje Contrast pin at just under 1v, though it doesn't seem to make much differnece, solid dark blue/lighht blue/Dark blue/light blue.

I did see some faint numbers on the right side of the first line for a minute, haven't been able to rerpoduce that though.

Looks like retro 60's Batman.

Prepare to activate the MakerBot, Robin!

This is cool. Cheaper too!

Finally got it working with http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:15380http://www.thingiverse.com/thi... and the combo seems to be perfect. Thanks Jetty :)

The case is certainly a lot better than my attempt.

I printed mine out of PLA and then welder them together with Heat. I'm such a Frankenstein that I gave up and made a wooden box for it. My buttons are all bare and exposed :(

Also you might want to consider getting your LCD from sureelectronics they are only US$11. http://www.sureelectronics.net/http://www.sureelectronics.net...

I know its a 20x4 display but that's OK. Use my hacked firmware to drive it.
