Thanks! The build is very simple. It's an LED w/ resister attached to a rotary pot, with a power switch, running off a nine volt. I have found that having consistent lighting is key to getting some good quality scan results. However, the surface of the object you are scanning is not always the same. Being able to control the brightness makes a big difference. I also place a large picture frame stretched with black felt behind the object being scanned. The flat-black eliminates any shine, glare, and reflections. It's all about eliminating unwanted variables, and controlling the ones we want to be there! Learn more at www.ghillEnterprises.com

Love the idea of it... will print and test it soon! will report back, I've been looking to bring my digitizer back from the dead... since it has never scanned anything properly... maybe this will make it so..
