This model of the clathrin triskelion is used to help illustrate the formation of endocytotic vesicles during our coverage of membrane dynamics in cell biology.
This model is used during both the introductory lecture on membrane dynamics, and later during discussions of recent research papers investigating the molecular mechanisms of endocytosis.
