This is a case for the iPhone 7 or iPhone 8. It must be printed in TPU, NinjaFlex, or other flexible filament or else it will not fit your phone. If you also have an image you want on the case, I'd be glad to cut it out of the phone for you.

nice design, i printed it in ninjaflex , now im looking for the iphone7 plus edition.

I read you were doing it, any news on that?

Love this case. Any chance you can do the same design for the ipod touch gen 5? There's a few here that are severely flawed.

Hi can you print it with pla and not flexible

Is it possible to scale a little bit to fit the iphone in a rigid material? Like PETG?
I really like your design but my printer is bowden and I have hard time trying to print flex filaments.
What would you recommend?

Would you be able to embed a rectangle into the inside of the case, 1mm thick. Size is 46mm x 65mm, can't open the file types you put up in rhino 5. Got a magnetic plate for my phone mount that i would like to keep in place.

Case is too big and I can't get the buttons to print right. I've tried repairing in netfabb and they still want to print in thin air when using S3D. I think the walls are too thin so it's just ignoring them entirely.

What size is your extruder? Cura slices it fine with a .4mm extruder, if yours is bigger than that it might account for the floating buttons. Also, if the case is too lose you can try printing it at 99% scaling for a tighter fit.

.6mm nozzle
Had to scale to 98% to get it to fit but still had the issues with the buttons.

That makes sense. Your slicer is ignoring the .4mm lines because the .6mm extruder can't print that thin. If you want I can modify it to have .6mm walls

That would be awesome!! I have just enough ninjaflex left to print another one. ;)

Works with petg or abs?

No. Those are not flexible. You won't be able to fit your phone into the case.

Tha ks for the response

Could you design an iPhone 5S Case

Sorry, I don't have a 5s anymore to test the fit on. Plus I tried to design one once when I still that phone and it was really bad XD
I'd recommend this case though, I liked it back when I had a 5s: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:813330

Customizable iPhone 4,5,6,6+ Stencil Case

Thanks, I was wondering if I could sell a few iPhone 6 cases of made to my friends and cut some designs out for them, I'll just be charging for printing time. Thanks

I am having trouble with opening the file in my autoCAD. Could anyone convert it to any other autoCAD-friendly format please?

You should be able to import it if your using AutoCAD 2012 or newer. If you still can't, what type of file do you want it converted to?

to .sat if possible or anything that allows 3D adjustments

Hey would you provide the part file so I can see how you made it and maybe cut out some designs in it?

I already did. It's the SLDPRT file. You'll probably need SolidWorks to open it.

Okay thanks I don't have SolidWorks only Autodesk so I will try to download SolidWorks.

Hello Alex,
Please email me at [email protected] I would like to talk to you about your case.

Could you possibly make a version with this https://img1.etsystatic.com/018/0/9050883/il_570xN.559019891_fn5f.jpg embossed on the back? And another with this https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/8e/bb/6e/8ebb6e0a928f9fe59364266a70eeec94.jpg. I have a friend that's really into that game along with their son that both have new iPhone 7's.

No problem! Just uploaded them.

is there any chance you can make this case thicker on the edges and the back?

Ok, sure. How thick do you want it?
Also, just out of curiosity, why do you want a thicker version?

I would also love a version of this!

I would like it so the camera and sides are protected a bit better

Would love to have this with the Rotor Riot logo in it. Could you do that? Thanks

Sorry, I've been really busy the last couple weeks with AP exams.
Is this the logo you want? https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-qrktQtCi0xw/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAACs/hwYu4uMRbNU/photo.jpg

No worries. Yes that's the one. Thank you.

It's a few months late, but it's up now :P
Sorry about the delay.

No worries. Thanks again for the work. Appreciate it.

Hi! Like you said on the README file, could you cut an image on the file for me?? i would like an image of star wars (stormtrooper).

Comments deleted.

Sure, I can work on that. My computer is messed up right now, but I should have it done within a week. Does this image work? https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/e2/55/9f/e2559f044eb3c21cf8346dbe342b8187.jpg

Oh I'm so gonna remix this! Thanks Alex!

I'd love to print and help you test the 7 Plus I have one and a bunch of ninjaFlex on hand...

Thanks, here's the link to the 7 Plus case I'm working on, if you could take measurements that would be great.

I have an iPhone 7 plus do you have that model as well? if not are you planning on creating one? I would greatly appreciate it, I cant seem to find a model of it anywhere.

I don't have one, but I can give it a try. I don't know anyone who has a 7+ that I can borrow, but I can make it pretty close. If you're willing to print a test, then I can make one by Wednesday and you can tell me any adjustments I need to make.

I could definitely do a print test and try it out! No rush on a time either!

Awesome, here's what I have so far: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1872481
Everything should be right except for the camera, but if it's not please let me know.

Do you think it would work to half-print the holder, but place the phone in when it starts to turn inwards, then continue printing? I'm thinking that I'd like to make a rigid case that can't be removed.

I really wouldn't if I were you, there's a good chance your 180° or 240° degree extruder will scrape against your shiny new phone. You could try it I guess, but I really wouldn't recommend it. If you really want to try, do it with something the same shape and size as your phone and see for yourself how/if it scrapes across the top.

Or print a iphone mockup in ABS and use that...
