Will this hold the Echo V2 if mounted on the ceiling or under a kitchen cabinet?

I have not tried it for that but I do not believe that it will be a tight enough grip to hold it upside down. You may be able to put a strip or two of electric tape around the inside to give it the additional grip though.

Thanks for the quick response! That's a good idea. Also I am looking to mount it under a kitchen cabinet - would the mount be able to be attached without screws (e.g. glue or double sided tape)?

FWIW, the designer of the part this one is based on has added a version for the 2nd Gen Echo Dot that does compression fit well enough to hold it on the ceiling without adding tape. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1463045

There should be plenty of flat space on the bottom (or i guess the top when mounted) of the print to use double sided tape or glue to mount it. For ease of use you may want to consider velcro to mount it. That way you can adjust a little easier if needed.
