With these pair of halloween costume components you will be the king/queen of the party.
Inspired by the well known squirting flower every amusing clown must wear, here you have your halloween best companion... the pumpkin and the skull, both easy and fast to print and hiding a surprise....water!!
Please have a look at the How I Designed This section to get all the details to complete your funny costume component.
Print the parts with the "face" facing the print bed. You will get the best results!
3D Printing and Post-printing
Both items are easy to print. They need no supports and the two printed parts are easy to assemble without glue. You only need to make two small holes in the "eyes" of the item using a thin pin previously heated with a lighter. Pay attention to the zone where the hole must be done! It must fit the channel in the back side...
After making the holes, you must assemble the clip in the slot and make sure it keeps tightly in place.
Adding the squirting system
Well, we have the component ready but the job isn't finished yet!
We need to assemble the squirting system. For this step you need two cheap and easy to find parts:
- A plastic syringe (I used a 20 ml one I had at home but bigger or smaller ones will work as well)
- A piece of flexible plastic pipe. In this case we need a Ø 6 mm outer pipe as the backside conexion is designed to fit this pipe size. This is a very common item you can find in gardening stores for example.
First of all we must check the length of pipe we need in order to hide the pipe and the syringe behind our clothing. Fit the pipe in the housing the printed part has and the other end in the water-filled syringe. The pipe will go through our chest to our arm and it will finish in our hand where the syringe will do the rest...
Please note that some glue (like superglue) will be a good idea if you want to get a tight assembly and don't want to get yourself wet (see the videos to get the idea ;))
A piece of advice...
If you realize your friends are getting angry (and too wet!) it is time to stop and move to another place ;)
