Just curious, how are you guys pushing the cam over the pin? Or, are you printing both parts already in place? Or, are you pausing the print above the height of the cam, putting it on then continuing the print? Trying to push it on just breaks the pin for me. Printing ABS at 75% infill.

Print them out separately then carefully clip the cam in place.

I should change the design. Instead of having the clip system, I should have a cap that screws on.

I've made four of these and if I try to push the cam over the pin the legs just break off. The best I could do is heat the legs with a heat gun, then press the cam over the flexible legs. What infill did you use?

I normally have about 1mm sides and ~20 infill.

think this can hold up a lacrosse stick with the current dimensions/weight?

I use them daily to hold full sized brooms. You just need to print it properly.

I have surrounded the cam with an inner tube of bicycle (watch the pictures). The grip is thus improved.
The axis of the cam is not well printed because it is printed horizontally, I will try to change the position of the printing so that the axis will printed vertically.

Excellent Idea. I'll give that a try myself.

Does the design need to change for this to work well?

Hi Ben,

May you share the source file of your creation ? I would like to adapt it to my needs. I use Fusion 360.
Thanks in advanced

Tried using stick on foam weather stripping first but the weight of the brooms just pulled it off over time. I used hot glue in a thick layer afterwards. It works much better.

Good idea. I might try that!
