This is a model based on Torbjorn's Turret from the massively popular Overwatch game. It has been scaled to sit at 50cm height.

Pieces have been sliced down to fit most 3d printers but if they are still to large, you can use tools like Meshmixer to further seperate the parts.

Assembly on where the parts go are in the images attached to this model.

Most pieces will not require support material, and works well printed at 0.2 or lesser layer height, 15-20% infill and with 3-5 shells.

Assembly of this model requires some PVC pipe of external diameter of 25mm to connect and give it structural integrity

Depending on your 3d printer and printing setting, you can expect to take anywhere from 100 - 150+ hours for all the parts.

I'm part way through making one of these, scaled down to 0.5 of the size.

Between the printing, sanding, filling, filing and painting... Wow, I had no idea quite how big the task was going to be, this is my first "big print" and the amount I've learned so far has been invaluable.

The actual level of skill and work on the model you have designed is incredible! I will most certainly upload pictures of this when I am done... If I get done (I have a million half completed projects, actually finishing one is a rarity).

But yeah, thank you for the file! It's awesome!

Hi Focian,

Thanks for the kind words and we're stoked to know that you're going to be having quite the ride with this project.

We do have a lot of half finished projects sitting around too and sometimes, just have to kick ourselves to not start on now things and just push existing projects towards the finish line. The feeling of finishing something is a massive reward in itself!

And so, we're going to hold ya to finishing this one then - looking forward to seeing photos of the finished piece! ;)

Would you consider releasing a smaller version of this model. one which uses less pieces, making it easier to assemble at a smaller size (thinking less than 10" tall kind of small)

Currently working on other projects so don't have any plans to make a smaller version of this just yet. But you could definitely use programs like MeshMixer or your slicer to rescale to your needs.

So you use glue for this right?

Yup, you would need to glue some of the parts together.

what glue should i use then? thanks for your reply!

Oh we normally just use good ol' superglue :)

Ok thanks cant wait to get started!

Awesome! Would love to see your completed turret too; do share with you have it up? :)

sure! this really does look like a great design!

I really like the design but i was wondering if you had or could possibly make Torbjorns hammer? Thanks

Don't have that yet but hmmm, interesting thought. Perhaps someday soon ... ;)

Aha, we released that piece later in the add-ons pack here - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1887592
Have fun printing it out and shoot down some pharahs for us, yeah? ;)

Does it matter if I set every piece to solid? I have an M3D and I really don't wanna screw it up.
P.S Is there going to be any Symmetra turrets? I'd like to hide them in the corners of my room. >:D

It doesn't really matter if you set them to solid but it does seem like a waste of time and materials? Typically we will just print it at 10-15% infill.

Symmetra turrets ... now that's an interesting thought! Stay tuned perhaps? :)

Thanks! If you do print it out, do share how it turns out with us :D

One of the best designs I ever saw here!
I would love to have a torret for my other overwatch figures :)
Looks great in the shelf.
I scaled the model in S3D to 20% and this is nice but I would think it would be great
when the parts on top would not be splitted (which is for the original size sure great).
Or is it possible to bring the parts virtually together and print them as one?

Thanks for the kind words! Yup that should be possible with tools such as Meshmixer :)

Any chance for a scaled-down version?

Scaling can be done in your slicer of choice ;)

This is an awesome design, and I'm currently trying to print all the pieces out. I hate to ask because you've already done so much work on this, but I'm curious as to whether you are still planning on uploading a second version of the files? If so, could I request that you include the two small shields on the left and right of where the barrels attach to the turret body? They don't seem to be included in your files. Also, in the Level 2 Turret, there is a flap of some kind that sticks up at an angle in place of the 'PodStandBottom.' If you aren't planning on adding the Missle Pod and shields to make this a Level 3 Turret (which I'm not), those would be nice to have additions. Thanks ever so much!

Hi there, thanks for the kind words. Actually when we uploaded this model up, we were already testing the upgrade parts as you mentioned but weren't ready to release yet. They have since been uploaded over here though (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1887592) so have fun with them and do post some shot of your very own finished piece too! Love to have a look~ =)

How much does it weigh?

Oh, that really depends on your print settings... :)

The file for the rear exhaust port on the top back end of the turret is missing, other than that it's great!

Missile Pod and Shield Upgrades for Torbjorn's Turret

Hey, good spot there - what we did not include yet in this iteration is that base for a missile pod and some shield to allow one to turn this into a Level 3 turret. Will be cleaning up the files and then releasing those shortly! ;)
