Is it okay to print everything the way they come? Horizontally?

I prefer to design things flat to the bed so that it minimizes the print lines in the important areas. Best way to do it in my opinion!

Mind if I remix this with some displacement mapping on the roof and walls?

Yeah, go for it.

Sweet, it is done. Any thoughts welcome :)
Are you perhaps interested in the blender source files? They are like 150mb so i am reluctant to upload it to thingi.

I'm having some troubles with the scaling. I'm using simplify3d and when I drop the files in it has the base on its side and about 3ftx3ft... my printer cant handle the size. I can scale it down but not to a specific size, and also not able to tip it over so its flat on my bed. I'm hoping there is a way to scale to 28mm easy so I can make sure all the parts fit. any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm shooting for 28mm

OK, All done. Sorry 'bout that.

thank you so much! going to try to print tonight!

Oh yeah. I uploaded the OBJ files instead of the STLs. I'll get to that.

What scale is it? 28mm? I'd really like to print this for my trainset!

Yeah, I tried to go for 28mm. I don't think it's exactly a correct scale, especially since I invented it.

Love the design, thanks!

Would it be possible to get brickwork "gates" to fill in the sites and make it look more like a crypt entry?

Hey,

Love the setup in your pictures! Are the other pieces of scenery printed as well?

Thank you! The other buildings are 3D prints which are available in my list, as are the wagons. The ground is an ultra big mouse mat that I designed and got printed in China. The lights are railway lights that I thread the wires through holes in the mat. The trees are the kind you can get for little Christmas Village scenes which were white, but I sprayed them brown.

Hey,

Can I please have a 28mm sized .stl file for all this?

The .obj files have gaps in them when I throw them into S3D. :)

Do you mean put together as one big object?

I managed to scale it to the size I wanted.
The only problem is the few faces on the model that disappears when generating the gcode file.
Not sure if it's a normalization problem.

Hmmm. Yeah sorry. I tend not to work in solid (binary space partition) objects because Cura seems to handle them OK for me. That may be the issue. All I can suggest is Meshmixer to make them solid and try again.

Thanks
Will give it a go. :)

I'm just wow'd by the overall setup in the photo...the tomb itself is quite brilliant.

Awesome! Amazing work!

That is so gorgeous! :)

The model is great but it is truly inspiring to see a 3dp piece painted so well. Excellent job.

Absolutely gold!

You could probably expand this into a full blown temple with just a few more wall segments!

Yeah, I love modularity. It makes me very happy.
