Summary

I wanted my own compact keyboard.
The reason is that the array of commercially available compact keyboards is strange, and there are also keys to press Fn key at the same time. I hated it.
Also, since there is a mouse on the right side of the keyboard, I think that it is nonsense to arrange the arrow keys and the numeric keypad on the right.
Furthermore, in Japan, a keyboard of Japanese layout is common.
I confirmed almost all commercially available keyboards, but there was no keyboard that fulfilled these demands.
Therefore I made the keyboard by myself.

This is original split keyboard version 3.

This adopts ISO placement.
Use the Cherry MX mechanical switches.
The controller disassembles and extracts the Microsoft keyboard wired 600.
Fix the controller to ktKEYBOARD_BASE.

I just found this model. I have previously built a keyboard but would really like to try a split keyboard. I just built a 3D printer so finding this is great. Is there a difference between version 1 and 3 other than the layout? I much prefer the layout of version 1 with the arrow keys on the right.

Thanks for your comment.
The biggest difference is the big key. Version 1 has no holes for the stabilizer. Other details are also good Version 3.
If you do not mind, I recommend you customize with OpenSCAD.

The surprising thing for me is that the reputation of Version 1 is good for some people. Is it because it looks like an English layout? This is also a Japanese layout.

I see that now. Thanks. I'm looking at the OpenSCAD file right now, working out how to change the layout.

I think I actually prefer the layout of version 2 the best. It most closely matches the way i would use it. Also closest to what you'd get if you simply split a standard English layout keyboard.

Please enjoy OpenSCAD. It will bring you freedom.
Hmm, the English layout of version 2 ... It might be for the visitors. I could make it if I could have time. But I do not know when. Thank you for a good opinion.

ありがとうございます。ぜひ試してみてくださいっ。

いいですね〜。感動しました。私も作ってみたいと思います!
