Hey Phil,

I would like to use the model to print a big and small mannequin for a study project, but resizing results also in distorted spaces for the balls and magnets.
Would it be possible to send me the cad model so that I can resize the needed dimensions and make .stl files myself?

That would be great!
Kind regards

Just uploaded a zip file containing step files of all the components

Thank you very much! That's really nice :)
Still the .step files are recognized as one solid body by Inventor (Autodesk) aswell as SolidWorks (Dassault systemes).
Is there a chance you can upload the original model files, which contain the model features?

Hi I'm afraid I don't have those files. As mentioned this model and parts were made from a very old 3ds mesh model I had many years ago and no longer have as it was corrupted.

What type of material is being used to pin the joints together? The elbows, knees, and wrists?

I use 1.75 filament. First I use a 1.5 mm drill bit to clean out and widen the holes then cut some short "pins" of filament

Good to know. I was thinking of using some 2mm bolts and nuts i have on hand. I think i will experiment both ways. Thanks!

Ideally you want the joints a little stiff so you can set them in a "pose" If they are too loose then I disassemble and coat the parts with super glue and once that's dry, re assemble.

can some one please put the mirrored limbs, feet, and hands. I am new to this and I can't figure out how to mirror the objects. I am limited to makerbot software, meshmixer, and 123D.

heres how to do it in meshmixer >>https://youtu.be/t5PFTQraojc

or just type "How to mirror in meshmixer" into google search

How many of the magnets and balls do we actually need?

5 magnets & 5 balls. All same size. Neck =1, Shoulder L&R = 2, Hips L&R =2.

Magnets 12 dia / 3mm thk
Balls 10 mm dia
