A simple button to make it easier to change filament by pressing the screw on the extruder to release the filament and pull it out/put it in. Your fingers will like it. ;-)

Should be printed with 100% infill!

Printed at original scale, did not fit.

This is my very first successful print on my newly built Anet A8 printer. It printed flawlessly on the piece of glass that I have installed on the heat bed. Wow I am jazzed now to start printing upgrades. The z fine adjust will be next now that I know the printer will work. Thanks for the file. I ran it through cura with your recommended settings and it came out perfect!! Thanks Again for putting it on thingiverse.

Works perfectly, thanks for the design!

Fits quite well. Serves the purpose perfectly. Thank you!

Will this keep the screw from falling in? I find that even with the nut, the crew slowly spins back down into the extruder over time and I have to keep fixing it.

Sounds like you've not locked the screw in place with a nut. The screw should go in to the metal piece with a nut in between, then the nut can be tightened against the metal piece to lock the screw in place at your desired height.

Just perfect, thanks a lot

this works great thank you for posting this stl

i glad i found this. my thumb is aching

Thanks, this will probably be one of the first things I will print.

A BIG Thank you from my thumb ♥
Didnt print out as round as it was designed... but with some force it still fit ;)

Great thing!
Would be greater if it wasn't round but fit the nut. But hey, works anyways!

Was thinking the same thing about the nut

I remixed this and fixed it so it will fit the nut:

What is that tube running to a black cylinder by the extruder head fan???

Most likely the "black cylinder" is a proximity sensor

Fit and worked Awesome! Thanks for the file!

Dude, thank you so much. Until now I've had to pad the side of my finger with about 6 layers of electrical tape just to change filament.

Just stopped by to say thanks.

Danke! warum bin ich nicht selbst darauf gekommen! Oh mann (LOL).....

My finger is much better now :) Thanks man.
