This is a work in progress Ball Joint Doll (BJD).
Laureline will stand around 45cm tall when finished, which is 1/4 scale (MSD size).
She is strung together using 2mm round elastic.
So far I have only completed the lower half of the doll - the hip to upper leg joint is a bit tight, and I will likely join the hip and upper leg back into a single piece in the next version.
The knees in this design are separate pieces and fit snugly with the upper and lower leg pieces, allowing a wide range of pose-ability while still being able to support the weight of a larger doll.
All of the leg pieces are for the right leg only - mirror these to print the parts for the left leg.
Printed on fast setting with default infill and generated support, the print times / materials costs are as follows:
foot: 37 mins 6.4 g
lower leg: 1 hr 24 mins 15.7 g
knee: 33 mins 5.2 g
upper leg: 1 hr 50 mins 20.7 g
hip: 1 hr 26 mins 15.8 g
torso bottom: 4 hr 26 mins 55.4 g
The torso piece had a lot of support due to the angle I printed it at - you could rotate to use less
