Really nice design! Unfortunately I couldn't get this to stick on the print bed. Gave up and printed another tool. I don't like to print with brim or raft. Wouldn't it be possible to make the bottom edge thicker so it sticks better on the print bed?

Thank you mmg18,

No need to print it with "brim" or "raft", or even to redesign the part:

If you need to make it stick better, you should use the "skirt" function to increase the contact surface inside and all around the part. Take a look on the second picture in the "Make" section of this page.

Thanks for your answer! Of cause I printed this with a skirt. But a skirt has no effect that lets the object stick better on the bed. On the pictures from guigro in the make section you can see a brim which should be unnecessary. There is no need to make such small contact surface. But anyway it's your design. It looks really good. That I can't print it is my problem and finally I chose another tool. So, is ok.

I successfully printed it many times on many surfaces : on blue tape, or on buildtalk, or on glass surface with 3dlac spray.
And I see a skirt - not a brim - in Guigro's picture.

I'm not as experienced concerning 3d printing as you so you're probably right. I print on an Ultrabase. From this site I understand that guigro is using a brim:

You are definitely right. (English is not my native language, and I misunderstood your explanation. I thought that "Brim" and "Raft" were the same meaning, and I used "Skirt" instead of "Brim")
A large Skirt in contact with the part is a definitely an extended "Brim".
Sorry for this misunderstanding.
